Relay celebrates 25 years of success in Ireland
Read how Relay was founded by Greer MacKenzie back in 1985.
On the 25th February 1985, Greer MacKenzie met with 5 trusted colleagues, and asked them to join him
in a business venture delivering software to businesses across Ireland. The next day, Relay Software was formed, and from that date Greer began building the very successful Irish Insurance Software company it has become today.
Over the last 25 years, a lot has changed in the world of technology. In 1985, Relay established its Insurance Broker Package with six prominent Irish Brokers, which coincided with Microsoft's first version of Windows.
Relay was delivering accounting software to a wide range of Irish businesses. However, with great foresight, Greer identified the potential for Relay's software development to make a significant impact on the Irish insurance industry. Greer stepped down as Managing Director in 1999 but remains very much involved as Relay's Finance Director.
Now as the market leader in Ireland with the most technologically advanced software Relay looks forward to the next 25 years.
